It was established in 2005 for the sole purpose of researching and developing an optimal welding process to apply inner-shield flux wires on the insides of pipe for hydro-transport applications.

The VR Connector (VRC) is typically used in pipeline operations where abrasive product flow such as oil sands, slurry, backfill, etc.
The VR Connector (VRC) is a pipeline connector designed and patented by Oil States Industries Inc. distributed by Nistomaskwa allowing vertical removal of pipeline sections where little or no tolerance existis and there is a need for frequent removal or rotation to maximize wear life inside the pipe.
Significantly wear the inner diameter of the pipeline. To maximize wear life, the pipeline must be unbolted, raised, rotated and bolted back together, with is heavily labor intensive.
The VR Connector (VRC) serves as a quick connector for large pipelines where a pin and box connection can be pulled back to clear the pipe end. It can then be lifted, rotated and reconnected in just minutes with no bolting required.

The electrode is very easy to apply even for the unskilled operator and the wire is open are so you don’t need external gas.
Our TWP56 is a general purpose chromium carbide hard facing available in both electrode and wire.
The alloy will operate in a very wide range of parameter making it simple to set up and apply.
